The Heavens: An Overview

Roman Nazis. Originally known as the ‘Hartez’, the Heavens are a distinct group that eventually left the world to take residence in orbit above Archeston. They adopted the name 'Heavens' as a comical irony in response to the religions of the opponents they defied. Their emblem is an Orange Wilted Poppy. When saluting members of the Oligarch the individual places their right-hand fist over their heart, lifting their chin, and uttering “Judges of Being.”

Through technological advancements and continuous organ replacements, elite leaders within the Heavens have extended their life expectancies. Although reproduction through traditional means is viewed as obsolete, thanks to the ability to create 'gene babies,' the aesthetic and emotional allure of intimacy and the female form is still highly valued. This admiration is embodied by the 'Heaven Canvasses'—humanoid females with flawless, neutral faces and figures. A design inspired by humanity's admiration for the pinnacle of human biology. They often display heightened human emotions, from ecstasy to agony, interactions with them are strictly forbidden.

Surprisingly the Heavens are not against protest and questioning, they don’t the verbal outcry of their unsophisticated citizens. They know their grip of power over these people so so firm that any amount of action taken to rival them is futile. And so they let their dogs bark.

Sociology of the Heavens

The Terra-war: A Historical Perspective

Around 1500 years ago, the globe witnessed a massive conflict. Unified under the banner of N.O.A. (Nations of Anyon), coalitions resisted the oppressive regime of the Hartez. In a desperate move, the Hartez deployed a devastating biological weapon. Instead of destroying the planet, it annihilated all vegetation and organisms, sparing only humans. The lasting aftermath of this weapon defines what's now known as the REDD ZONE.

Survivors responded by creating the Anyth, a refuge above the weapon’s reach, where they managed to cultivate a limited amount of vegetation, affectionately termed ‘Green.’ Post-conflict, the triumphant Hartez rebranded as the Heavens, distancing themselves from the decimated world below. Their main concerns now lie with their own kind and their creation, a new city, Archeston, showing apathy towards anything beyond.

The Neofactor: A Glimpse into the Future

Although the Terra-war, initiated by the Heavens, led to the near-extinction of life, there's a beacon of hope. Currently, the Heavens are developing the 'Neofactor'—a device capable of terraforming Earth, aiming to rejuvenate its ecosystems. However, activation promises widespread annihilation, threatening structures like the Gates. Only upon completing the 'Pedestal' can the Neofactor be operationalized.
