Concise Overview

Scene Premise

Four years after leaving his partner to pursue a more important life elsewhere, Mirel An returns unsuccessful and carrying everything he owns in one small travel bag. Rhea Morren opens the door of the apartment they once shared. She understands immediately why he has returned, but the unfamiliar coat, second pair of boots and two used cups visible behind her reveal that her life continued without him.

Characters

Central Conflict

Mirel has come back because the future he chose over Rhea failed. He assumes the old relationship may still offer him somewhere to return to. Rhea still recognises and cares about him, but she will not allow his failure to turn her rebuilt life into his refuge.

Proposed Dialogue

RHEA: “So you didn’t get to be what you wanted to be.”

MIREL: “No.”

MIREL: “I didn’t know where else to go.”

The scene uses only these three short lines. The final emotional answer is communicated by Rhea not moving aside and slowly closing the door.

Seedance 2 Prompt 1 - Approximately 11 Seconds

Create an approximately 11-second cinematic text-to-video sequence in a 1:1 square aspect ratio, designed as the first half of one continuous 22-second grimdark relationship scene. Use 24 frames per second. Use natural synchronised dialogue with precise, understated lip movement. No subtitles, captions, logos, readable signs, interface text or on-screen titles.

The entire scene takes place at night in a narrow residential doorway opening onto an immense exterior habitation gallery in the lower Gates. The setting combines a very intimate human confrontation with monumental space-brutalist architecture. The gallery is made from stained reinforced concrete, thick structural ribs, recessed apartment doors and corroded metal drainage channels. Beyond the open side of the gallery is a colossal vertical void filled with distant leaning housing blocks, suspended bridges and enormous concrete pillars disappearing through cold blue-green rain haze. Rain blows inward across the gallery from screen-right to screen-left. Water runs through a shallow channel beside the wall. The environment should feel enormous, old and oppressive, but remain visually simple so the doorway confrontation is always the subject.

The apartment interior is small and dimly warm. Only a narrow portion is visible through the open door: worn concrete walls, a simple table, two used ceramic cups, one unfamiliar dark work coat hanging on a hook and a second pair of heavy boots placed neatly inside. These details quietly establish that Rhea now shares the apartment with someone else. Do not show that person. Do not add other movement inside the apartment.

Both characters have ordinary human eyes. No visible moons, glowing irises, implants or unusual eye effects. Their clothing and belongings are physical, worn and practical. No holograms, glossy futuristic surfaces, decorative machinery or background crowds.
