Poppet, aware of the rebellious nature brewing within a group, confronts them as they prepare to execute their plan. With his Ravens by his side, he faces the rebels head-on, daring them to strike first. His sharp gaze cutting through the tense air. But the rebels hold back, knowing better than to act impulsively.
“There is no crime for questioning…” one of the rebels declares, defiance barely masking their fear.
“We stand to gain!” a female rebel shouts back, desperation clear in her voice as she tries to rally the others.
Frustrated by their indecision, Poppet roars, “FIGHT FOR WHAT YOU BELIEVE!” His voice echoes, an overwhelming demand meant to provoke them into action. Yet, despite his taunts, the rebels remain motionless, their resolve faltering in the face of his challenge.
“Only voices worth hearing are heard,” Poppet declares, his frustration barely veiled behind the sharpness of his tone.
Realizing they won’t take the bait, he exhales, his fury simmering beneath a cold exterior. Poppet lets them go, knowing he cannot act against them until they’ve done something truly damning. Deep down, he’s certain their struggle will amount to nothing more than a demonstration of their own powerlessness.
As they retreat into the shadows, Poppet’s gaze lingers on them, his mind already anticipating their inevitable failure.
