Maybe a story situation that could happen in the prequel:
A token man who is meant to be fighting the war defies the use of his power and instead chooses to go back into the distant past to escape the terrors of the future. This man has a history of physical abuse as a kid by his father. He roams the land, reminiscing about how things were in his era compared to post-war times. Eventually, he comes across a small family that is kind to him. He realizes it is his family—himself as a young boy, his mother, and his father, whom he misses dearly but were killed after the war. His father left him as a boy, so he never got to know him properly and only has bad memories of him.
He stays with the family for a while, continuing to reminisce about the past. He enjoys conversing with them and helping out on their farm. However, he starts to notice signs that the young boy (himself) is being punished a lot by his father. This subtly distresses him, but he forces himself not to get involved. One night, he is sleeping in his guest room when he hears the mother and father arguing over the son. Suddenly, the mother starts screaming, and the father, sounding furious, says he always has to teach the boy the same lesson. He grabs the boy and drags him away, and the boy screams for him to let go. The mother yells, “NO! NO! Don’t you dare hurt my boy! Let him go now! I swear to God, [father's name]! Leave him alone! I’ll kill you!” A door slams and locks—the basement door where the father has just dragged his son.
Hearing all this, the man suddenly gets up and marches out of his guest room, down the stairs, and toward the living room where the basement door is. The mother is on the other side, sobbing and pounding against the door, praying for her boy not to be hurt. The man appears behind her, grabs her by the shoulder, and pulls her back. He takes a step back and kicks the door's hinge inward, sending it flying open. As he descends the stairs, memories of the place flood back to him—the trauma of being down there as a boy and being abused. This is a place of his nightmares. He eventually reaches the boy and saves his younger self by taking down his father, possibly killing him and hiding the body away from the child. This helps us understand how his father left all those years ago.
The story arc for this character explores the idea that reminiscing about the past and nostalgic times isn’t always positive. Many wish things would go back to the way they were, forgetting the horrid aspects of the past. This character learns this by revisiting his own past and childhood. After witnessing these events, he says a quick goodbye to his mom and younger self, then leaves the past to venture back into the future to continue serving his purpose as a token. This young boy and guest man in the story could maybe be Fateus’s father?
so the hartez have a strong system in belief of nothing metaphysical and only what is physical, this obviously extends to the disregard of religion which may have been the reason for the orginal terra war, and so in this story when it is first heard of beings who can move through time it is considered mere storys as it sounds metaphysical for so long to the hartez, it is only until it is seen by someone from the hartez that it is finally realised and feared for the first time. “seeing is believeing”
