Jor is a commoner who came from the bottom: a hard-labour working-class background, a rough life and a history of mistreatment. At the trial/interrogation he is drunk, angry at society and what has been done to him, and ready to change his circumstances. He has been excluded from the polished world enjoyed by elites. Even if he gains power or access to luxury, he has no interest in dressing up: he continues wearing scruffy, worn, practical working-class clothing. His visual essence is dystopian, grungy, gritty and weathered, with the rough presence of the Hound as inspiration rather than a literal costume copy. Do not mistake the relatively polished historical setting for Jor himself being upper-class or well kept.
