The Great Foundation - DAY 1 - 8AM - 10 MINS
at some point in season 2 when the hopen take over in the anyth alongside the metradome leadership. the hopen mother runs half the council with her “fingers” (they have signet rings on each of the corresponding fingers that are their names):
Approved director direction, 23 October 2026; estimated placement within the shared-council period, exact episode open. After the Founders die, Mother and the Hopen share control of the Anyth with Vox/Metradome leadership. Their cooperation conceals an internal strategic struggle: each wants sole control and manoeuvres to weaken the other.
Mother learns that Vox sexually abuses children. She uses this truth, Optanity and her religious authority to expose him and bring about a public trial and condemnation. This follows at least two non-graphic Season 2 hints involving other children. Kurst is an earlier victim, now grown; this political strand should not interrupt or depend upon his separate watch/conflict plot.
The Hopen seek political advantage and control of the Anyth, not Vox’s execution, permanent imprisonment or total financial ruin. He retains his riches, Metradome influence and Heavens connections. Their success is to reduce his Anyth influence below theirs and help push him out, among other pressures. His disgrace and reduced opportunity to abuse are real, while significant overall punishment is absent. Likely public identification/unmasking as the Vermin remains a proposal, not a locked detail.
Governance progresses Founders → contested Vox/Hopen shared rule → Hopen control. The trial is provisionally before Kingsteen’s death and the compressed watch-to-burning sequence, and must be before Vox’s retreat to the Heavens. The precise evidence, legal process, formal sentence and mechanism of losing local influence remain to be written. Mother here is Avantika, not Vox’s mother Kaura. Full chronology: VOX
