Because she is so determined toward her job she has little interest in other things causing her to be quire sociopathic with the primary exception of her father. Lace becomes partially jealous in Kaly as she and Fateus begin to form a serious relationship. This jealousy is definitely part of her motive toward wanting to catch the both of them.
